2007 F150 Lightning Clone

This truck was a hot rod version of the Ford F-150 truck that first appeared in 1993 with a 240-hp V-8. Production was only until 1995. Then new version F150 was manufactured in 1999 with a supercharged 360-hp V-8 that produced 380 horsepower before it was put to rest in 2004. The FOMoCo freaks were hoping the hot rod would continue when the current generation trucks hit showrooms in 2004. It did not. The new lightning replacement, the Raptor,  will be available in 2009.

For those of us who are power freaks and have to have an F150 Lightning start with any F150 that has the 300-hp 5.4-liter engine, a two-wheel-drive FX2 Sport extended cab makes a great F150 Lightning, (it works with the 4X4's also).Then add the F150 Lightning supercharger kit (the polished one is a nice touch). Install a performance exhaust system. Install a heavy duty radiator, a set of 20inch wheels. Add an F150 suspension lowering kit, a set of 4.10:1 lightning gears a limited-slip differential and finally. A big-brake system for your F150 Lightning. And the result will be a F150 Lightning clone that is as close in spirit and stamina to an F150 Lightning as you can get or until FoMoCo releases the new 2010 400HP F150 Raptor. This F150 Lightning clone has a claimed 450 horses while running the quarter-mile in 14.4 seconds at 94 mph, and sprints to 60 mph in 5.7 seconds.
